 Its important to remember that everyone is different, and different things work for different people.

If you’re feeling low, catching up with a friend might help you get out of your head and remind you that things aren’t as bad as they seem. If you don’t really feel like chatting too much, you don’t have to. You can always do something else with a friend, like watch a movie.
